Keith Alan Verbrugge, age 55, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013 of Melanoma at Whatcom Hospice House in Bellingham. Born April 7, 1958 in Bellingham, WA to Lawrence and Ruth Verbrugge, Keith graduated from Lynden High School in 1976. He worked as an agricultural mechanic, truck driver and in furniture sales. The last five years Keith enjoyed his love of outdoor activities cutting wood, baling hay, fishing and sports activities. He had an infectious sense of humor and always enjoyed a good time with family and friends.
He married his high school sweetheart, Jolene Heusinkveld and they have two sons Brent, 33 and Shane, 30, both of Whatcom County. Additionally, he is survived by his mother, Ruth Verbrugge; sisters, Elaine and Don Alexander of Deluth, MN and Lynn Verbrugge of Bellingham; in-laws, Herm and Margaret Heusinkveld, Barry and Doris Heusinkveld, Stuart and Karen Hoogerhyde all of Lynden; nieces, nephews; numerous other family members and Jessica Wilburn. Keith will be truly missed! He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence.
